Really didn't like this. Barely about Japan - just another self help guide in disguise. Full of personal anecdotes and really overwritten - takes about ten pages to say what could be said in one. As another review said, the tone isalso weirdly patronising and judgemental.

'Is it really Kintsugi, Doc?'
I've got a feeling that this was planned as some self-help manual of the more generic type and them the kintsugi thingy was added in to give it some unique flavour. Only, I'm not sure, is it really supposed to be that bland? It must beme and not the book's fault that I didn't click with it better.
This book is very basic and if you’ve already begun a healing journey via self help or psychology, then this isn’t for you.
If you are new to these books, there are much better ones out there.
Just a note that I found the tone patronising, but that may be due to it being a translation.
It just wasn’t helpful to me.
